Through our relationship with local law enforcement agencies, Church Street Church of the Nazarene (CSCNaz) provides a space for law enforcement officers serving our community and surrounding areas to gather for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.
Law enforcement officers often experience the world differently than most. In the course of their service, they encounter high levels of trauma, tragedy, violence, and stress—often in a single week what others may never experience in a lifetime. While the profession is demanding and burdensome, many officers carry a deep sense of calling to protect and serve their communities.
Although officers are highly trained in many areas, the spiritual aspects of their lives, careers, families, and callings are often neglected. For a variety of reasons, many law enforcement officers find it difficult to regularly attend church. This ministry exists to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where officers can connect with one another and, most importantly, grow in their relationship with God.
This group is partnered with the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO), an organization dedicated to supporting and equipping Christian law enforcement officers.
According to FCPO, their mission is to bring Christian officers together in a welcoming environment for fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth. Officers are encouraged to embrace their profession as God’s calling and to understand their service as ministry—serving, protecting, and holding accountability with Christ-centered compassion.
Through resources, materials, and local chapters, FCPO fosters spiritual commitment and growth, helping officers develop a strong Christian worldview to face the challenges of their profession. As officers work and pray together, they deepen their faith, strengthen accountability, and build meaningful connections with fellow believers in law enforcement.
Committed Christian officers have the unique opportunity to bring the love of Jesus into places and situations where others cannot go. When officers respond to their calling with Christian compassion, their transformed lives can impact their agencies, families, and the communities they serve.
